NATIONAL ACADEMIES TO HOLD TWO-DAY SUMMIT ON ENERGY ISSUES
Energy policy is at the center of some of the nation's most pressing challenges, from national security and the economy to global climate change. To provide a critical overview of
Topics to be examined over the course of the two-day summit include:
· geopolitical context of
· coal, nuclear power, biofuels, and hydrogen;
· implications for the automotive fuel economy;
· innovative energy projects for electricity production and hybrid vehicles;
· requirements for a sustainable energy future; and
· climate change technologies and CO2 reduction.
