Changing Expectations for the K-12 Teacher Workforce: Feb. 12 Report Release

A new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine examines how expectations for K-12 teachers, the education landscape, and the demographics of the teaching workforce have changed over the past two decades.

Changing Expectations for the K-12 Teacher Workforce: Policies, Preservice Education, Professional Development, and the Workplace explores what these changes mean for teacher training and continuing education.

Advance copies of the report will be available to reporters only beginning at noon EST Tuesday, Feb. 11. 

The report is embargoed and not for public release before 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, Feb. 12.
