Reviews of Draft Fourth National Climate Assessment and Draft Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report – New Report March 12

The U.S. Global Change Research Program asked the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to review the drafts of the Fourth National Climate Assessment—a congressionally mandated report that evaluates the state of climate science and the broad range of impacts of climate change in the United States every four years -- and the Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report—a report that feeds into the overall assessment process developed by the agency.  The Academies will release both reviews with detailed findings and recommendations on Monday, March 12.

Advance copies of Review of the Draft Fourth National Climate Assessment and Review of the Draft Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report will be available to reporters only beginning at 9 a.m. EDT on Monday, March 12. The reports are embargoed and not for public release before 3 p.m. EDT on Monday, March 12.
