Strengthening Food and Drug Regulatory Systems Abroad: New Report Jan. 15

Food or drug safety issues in one country can have public health, social, and economic consequences around the world.

Stronger Food and Drug Regulatory Systems Abroad, a new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, recommends strategies and a framework that regulatory agencies worldwide can adopt to ensure the safety and quality of food and medicines.

Advance copies of the report will be available to reporters only starting at noon EST on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The report is embargoed and not for public release before 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, Jan. 15.
