Control of Respirable Coal-Mine Dust Exposure in Underground Mines – Public Meeting in Washington, D.C. Oct. 5O
At its fifth public meeting, a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine committee assessing the effectiveness of monitoring and sampling approaches that are used to guide decisions about controlling occupational exposure to respirable coal-mine dust will hear from invited panelists on the approaches being used in South Africa and Australia. The presentations and discussions will be followed by a public comment period. Individuals who wish to provide comments are asked to sign up in advance or during the session.
The open session of the meeting will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 5, in Room 100 of the National Academies’ Keck Center, 500 Fifth St., N.W., Washington, D.C.
