Preventing and Controlling Sexually Transmitted Infections in the U.S. – Oct. 7 Workshop

On Oct. 7, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will host a workshop to examine sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention and control efforts in the U.S. The workshop is part of the information-gathering process for a consensus study.

Speakers from schools of public health, federal agencies, and the biotechnology sector will discuss the current and projected economic burden of STIs; the consequences of stigma; advances in biomedical research; and possible mobile and digital health interventions.

The workshop will be webcast.
