Establishing a Safety Culture in Academic Labs -- Committee Meeting June 26-27
A National Research Council committee examining laboratory safety of chemical research in non-industrial settings will hold its second meeting June 26 and 27 in Berkeley, Calif., to hear from experts and gather information. The committee's study will explore ways to promote safe practices and attitudes in chemical research laboratories and will make recommendations for systems that would improve safety of these facilities.
The event will take place Wednesday, June 26, from noon to 5 p.m. PDT and Thursday, June 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. PDT in Room 775 Tan Hall at the University of California, Berkeley.
