Concussions in Youth Athletes -- Meeting April 15
An Institute of Medicine committee studying sports-related concussions in youth will hold its second public meeting to explore emerging science in risk, diagnosis, and mental health consequences of concussions in this population. Experts from Harvard Medical School, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, National Federation of State High School Associations, and other organizations will discuss their work on the health and safety needs of youth athletes at risk for and living with concussions.
The meeting will run from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. PDT Monday, April 15, in the Madison Ballroom of the Renaissance Seattle Hotel, 515 Madison St., Seattle.
