Agenda:

Members of the committee will observe a test of tank car integrity at the Transportation Technology Center in Pueblo, CO on September 28, 2016. The testing event is open to the public, but members of the public who wish to witness the test on site must notify TRB staff (RWassel@nas.edu) no later than September 14, 2016. Members of the public are expected to follow all requirements of the Transportation Technology Center, including but not limited to safety rules and limitations on photographs and videotaping.

A preliminary activity schedule for the day of the test is provided below. Please note that unforeseen factors (such as, inclement weather) might necessitate a delay in the scheduled test activities or a change in the test date. Briefings will be provided on site by personnel from US DOT and the Transportation Technology Center before and after the testing event. The briefings will be open to the public and are planned to be webcast. Information for joining the briefing sessions by internet/telephone are provided after the agenda.
